I'm assuming someone has seen better, but this was a new one for me, going back even to WitP. Anyone ever seen seven?
Note that even after this, it still doesn't say "Sunk"...

I have. Just two words:
Tokyo Rose...

That's right, why didn't SSI-157 also sink two carriers, a battleship and numerous cruisers and destroyers? The captain of that boat will be expected to accomplish Seppuku, as he has accomplished little else.

I've noticed that Subs attacking on the surface, still fire multiple torpedoes! [:(]

So, did she sink? [:D]
I one time had a sub attack on surfacon an (I think) AKL. The skipper decided to fire 3 spreads
of 4 torpedoes, of those he scored three hits total, and then thought it important enough
to engage with the deck gun.
Funny thing was he did not even have high agg values, around 60something.
That was quite some patches ago though.

Better use too many torpedoes and hit something than not firing at all... Like the Swedish subs of ww2 did...

Remember what are you trying to sink. I assume that skipper looked at her while pushing the the FIRE! button and immediately turned to stone...[:D]

The xAK Gorgan is only 2750 tons. That sub should not have fired six torps at it. What a waste of fish.

That and she was obviously carrying a $#!+load of ping pong balls - vital to the war effort!

You guys are never happy... if the skipper shoots 4 torps and hits with 0 you are not happy, if he shoots 6 and hits with 6 you are not happy...

What is this "happy" of which you speak? [&:][:D] "Happy" is what I was before I discovered WITP! Now like everyone else , I'm "insane, tormented, and utterly devoted to this game".......[:D]

Most attacks were on the surface, with torpedoes.

So, did she sink? [:D]
Captain Valentine of the xAK Gorgon reports that it was just a flesh wound...

In fact she still had 1700 cases of Foster's on board. The morale at Broome just suddenly plummeted...

Or ... what remains of the ship is still soaring through the air so there is nothing on the water to sink!

So you're saying the sub blew her out of the water? Hmph! I always wondered where that term came from... [;)]

I have a friend who is a paramedic. He says that there are two types of dead at the scene of an accident. There is "dead" and then there is "f**king dead." That ship is "f**king dead." [&o]
