Attached are two files required to play the 1939 More Historical Mod. Backup your original 1939 scenario folder, or the consts.ini and land_units.csv files, then replace those two in that scenario folder with the two files in the mod.
changes (marked with #gwg comment in the consts.ini):
- increased APs for all units to better fit with the map scale
- scaled down land combat results, to allow for less complete annihilations and more retreats
- scaled down air to air combat results
- scaled down costs for producing and reinforcing/repairing land and air units
- much reduced costs for amphibious transports
- less losses in amphibious assaults
- more chance of making an amphibious assault
- increased range for paratroop drops
- reduced strength of Norwegian and Danish forces
Effect of these changes: now possible to recreate historical timelines for war plans, unrealistic minor power strength corrected, air war is more fun (because not exhorbitantly expensive), amphibious assaults more realistic, less likely that a land unit can be completely destroyed in one combat situation (more likely to retreat), but this is offset in part by more APs for attackers.
