Game Version 1.50c
OS Win8 Pro Retail

The game loads fine until I get to the map and try to scroll or click on a hex.
Ran fine under Win7 but has an error under Win8:

Case Blue runs fine.

I get almost the same error
Using win 7. It worked some days, and then this happened [&:]

@Anthony,
I would be interested to know:

1. your Win8 details. Do you have 32bit or 64bit version?

2. do you have a computer/labtop with "hybrid graphics"?

This is exactly the same issue as with Win7 with the Windows Update (see other thread), but for you there is no uninstalling the update.

I am still working very hard to come up with a permanent fix for the Win7 update and the Win8 issues.

I ran some more test games: my save game crash seems to only occur if I move the map while a save is in progress. If I don't move my mouse the game saves normally and I can continue to play. My system is a 3 year old desktop PC that I upgraded from Windows 7 Home Edition to Windows 8 Professional.

Thanks for all your feedback. It helped!

Anyway. After a week of painstaking work I think i found a complete fix.

Not yet uploaded to matrix, so this can only be tried out by players that know how to manually install a file.

If you can and you have had the bug, please test it out. Preferably with windows8 and/or Windows7 with the KB2670838 installed!

And let me know if it works for you. Best test to see if the bug is fixed is loading the largest scenario a couple of times and trying to save it while in game.
