Today i buy the downloading version of the game Team Assault Baptism of fire. I installed and I start to open the game by game menu and nothing happens!!!The some think when i start to open by Quick Start. I downloaded the new patch v1.20 and again nothing!By game menu, i can open everything else, like Forse Builder, Game manual etc normally without problem. The patch was downloaded directly by Matrix site, because when i start to downloaded by game menu, the told me that encountered a problem with TPT. I uninstalled game and installed again but no changes. My firewall is the Microsoft Firewall and i put the game in exceptions. I make everything possible!
What can I do?
My system is a Windows XP SP3
GeForce GTX 280
Intel(R) Core(TM)i3-2120 CPU x4 CORE
2 GB RAM
Please help me

Do you have a log file that is created? it should be under "C:\Users\username\Documents\My Games\Team Assault\"
If you do - can you upload that to here please.

Thank you Xerkis for your response, I have a file under the name Teams on Team Assault file but it is empty!!!

What else do you have in the Team Assault folder? There should be a Levels folder and at least a cfg file.

Hi there

The first thing that comes to mind is if you're not running the game as an administrator? This might be necessary for the game to write to files on your computer, for example to create settings files etc. Please try this and let us know if it makes any difference.

I'm also forwarding this to our tech team in case they come to think of more technical ways to solve or find out more about your issue. It might also be an issue with the installation/patch update, in which case we'll have to forward it to Slitherine/Matrix. Thank you for reporting!

Thank you and you Laxen for your response. No in my Team Assault folder the only think that I have is the Teams folder and this is a empty folder.
Laxen who i can run the game like administrator? Can you tell me how I can make this?

To run as the admin you should just have to:
Right click on the icon
Run as
Click "The Followinf user"
User name Administrator
password (if needed)
 
See if that works

I try it but when i start to use the Following user the said to me
Unknown user name or incorrect password
I don't have any password for the Administrator or maybe i do not remember this
And something else I try to open with τηε Current User option in the Run as application the game start, the saw me the logo Zeal team the Sytherine and when the start to load the screen of the game the put me out of the game (with the renown beautiful sound of the Windows when a problem is encounter)[:)]

Does this thread sound to be the same issue as yours? And does anything in it help?

No much of help I download the CCCP codec pack but no change, the guy with the same problem have the Windows7 and me the Windows XP SP3. And what about the Team Assault folder? where is the Levels folder? where is any cfg file so the game can to run? Maybe is a downloading problem?

Hhhmmm - maybe it is a download issue since nothing is in that folder. Laxen (or someone else from Zeal) might need to help with that end. Sorry.

Did some more digging.
Try this (if you feel up to it) and you might want to make a save of the file first.
 
in the folder C:\Program Files\Slitherine\Team Assault\Game\Files\
there should be a file default.cfg
add the line "showvideos=false"
 
and try to start the game and see what happens.
 

And something new, I try it to close my PC and then a window pop up and say to me that the Windows try to close the program AMSRuntime with the TA desktop icon and that this program is not response

It might be a downloading problem, in which case we at Zeal can only forward this to Slitherine/Matrix since download and installation is on their end.

But if the problem is with the actual game and its launch, its up to us. I'm thinking too that it might be the intro videos which are causing you problems. But first, let's see if we can get the game running with the movies. There are a few things from Microsoft you could try to download and install that might be missing on your computer. I'll ask Xerkis to post them since I'm not allowed to post links on Matrix forums within 7 days after my 10th post
