Gameranger Lag Issues

I have a problem with lag playing Close Combat games via GameRanger, this issue started more or less after the Hurricane Sandy devastated the US coast.
I don't know if there were some technical effects due to the hurricane, at the end of the story, I'm not anymore able to play online via GameRanger.
This issue is common with other players and we are not able to fix it.
Can anyone suggest something?
