UK had surrendered (I was playing as allies) but then Germany surrendered. AI tried to do it's turn and hung. AH was still in war with Turkey and Bulgaria.

A savegame would be great. Have you tried the beta patch? It may resolve the problem (a couple of possible AI hangs were fixed).
