Hi,

Recently bought SoP, which is a great game. But I cannot install the new patch 1.11, as I get a "serial No. incorrect" error. The Serial No IS correct.

I bought the game on DESURA, so I don't know if that is a issue, as I have to open DESURA to play the game.? On opening the patch DESURA asks for a "user" name (I cant remember what I typed exactly, or if I just accepted the default "user")...then it moves onto the patch install, but not accept the serial No.

I fixed the resolution problem on the intro & fixed 'Iwo jima' senario so it now plays. Are these changes stopping the patch install.?

Any ideas what might be the problem.? could the patch be incompatible.

Present SoP version:- 1.10

Me too! The game won't recognize my serial number when I try to use the patch. What gives? I got the game trough Gamersgate if that makes any difference.

If you get the game out of Matrix Games, then you are not able to use Matrix Games patch.
However the game has got autoupdater n the game folder within START menu.

Patch 1.11 now installed.! I had a lot of problems getting the correct path right, the auto updater seems to be linking to remnants of the uninstalled 'Demo'??
After update my saved games came up as 'incompatable with this version'. This is a simple fix for this :-

1) Open save games file.
2) Open a 'saved game', go to 'info.ini' file & open.
3) Go to bottom section [Save] & change the 'GameVersion' to 1.11
4) Save changes when prompted.

You will have to do this for all saved games you wish to still play. This works for me & game seems to work fine. I don't know if conflict issues may occure as the Saved file may 'bug out' due too the new patch.
