Hidden Movement Bug?

Tonight playing v1.14 Firefight #1 Partisans using Classic APs, I was Russians. I proceeded to Hide a Soviet Rifle squad that was in hex G12 (and out of sight). Then on a subsequent turn I moved it into hex H12 (light woods). Based on my understanding on the rules for Classic AP, the unit should have remained hidden since it was in cover and no enemy unit was within a hex. However it was revealed as soon as it moved (see dialog box on the lower left by the mouse pointer).

Here's the rule. As far as I could tell, I took hidden movement (not sure if there is any way not to in the PC game) and entered a hex with cover. Shouldn't I have remained hidden until an enemy unit entered my hex?

Hmm if you paid the hidden mvt cost (+3APs) (and as you say this should be auto in the pc game) into light woods, which is definitely cover terrain - and the unit was already hidden - then you should have stayed hidden, I would think.

Chris, that is my understanding too. In my particular situation my Rifle was in hex G12 (diagonal upper right hex from where it is in the screen capture), Active with 5 APs remaining. I added 2 CAPs, did a Hide action and the unit was marked spent. During a late turn when another unit was active, I used a Command Card to card activate the spent Rifle in hex G12. It activated and I moved it to hex H12, the Light Woods hex in the screen capture. There was no different button to say use hidden movement and I couldn't see any APs reduction because it was a card activated move but when it finished moving, it became unhidden and I saw the text shown in the screen capture. I was trying to set up an ambush.
Maybe in the PC game you can't move hidden units at all? Or maybe any LOS to a hidden unit reveals it? However under Classic AP mode I expected it to follow the board game rules.
I just want to clarify so if I'm playing another Firefight like General Petrov I don't hide units expecting an ambush to only move them and they become revealed. That would stink (for me). [8D]

a card activated move
ah this might perhaps be the clue - what was the card? Unless the card states specifically that it doesn't reveal a hidden unit due to the action taken, it will reveal the unit when played... (10.01), second para.
Mind you, sounds like it still requires a bit of a test, to be safe.
cheers

Chris, it was the the Command Action card (see screen capture). The Firefight is Partisans so it only allows cards #20 and below.
Wouldn't a Command Action allow hidden movement? I always thought it played the same as if you spent the +3 AP to do so. But if I am wrong (very possible [;)], then that was it. Ouch, I messed myself up then.

the trick would be to set up that move again and just use AP's for the turn - and see whether it reveals or not ? Anyway I'm sure Eric will answer this one authoritatively
cheers

I would think that if it costs 3 points to accomplish, then a card would not be able to do it, since the card has no point value.

I just tested it out as per Chris' recommendation. Ironically I got the AI to place a German unit in the exact same hex as it was in when I moved into H12 in my game with my friend. You guys are correct. If I use just CAPs or AP/CAP combination, I do no get revealed. However if I use the Command Card to actually move, I get revealed (I can use the Card to "Hide" and then use AP/CAPs to move and that will work too).
Thanks for the help in figuring this out guys - and WCS, sorry I doubted it. [8D]

Thanks for the report and the extensive followup. The card should allow a hidden movement.
