you can see in my settings that i have boardgame map selected, can't get the boardgame map to come up just the 3d. Another thing i'm no sure of is the units on top setting, it doesn't seem to change anything seems to work the same no matter what. Is that something that is just used for the 3d units?

with the above settings i went thru 90% of the maps the only ones that come up with the board game map are the awakening the bear ones. The rest of the firefights come up with the 3d map no matter what i select. I tried the big map setting also. also the scenarios i downloaded the only ones form Jamm and DD to show up with the board game style was the stalingrad scenarios. I also got an out of memory error, probably because i was starting and restarting the scenarios.

I'm going to restart my computer and check and then reinstall to see what that does.

Hi budd, ignore my other settings (I have a beast of a laptop so I maxed everything out) and just look at my setting in the lower right column. That's what I use to get the hi-res, 3D looking maps from the board game. Is that what you are trying to do?

no just the regular board game map, they always come up with 3d maps no matter what i have in those boxes, i just tried the big map thing to see if that changed anything. I know i don't have the system for it. I believe Erik said that it defaults to the regular boardgame map if your system cant run the big maps.the tutorials and the awakening the bear scenarios along with jamm's stalingrad scenarios are the only ones i can get to use the board game map. I'm uninstalling, cleaning the registry and reinstalling, curious too see if that changes anything.

not all of the maps have boardgame tiles, just ATB scenarios and my Stalingrad ones.
All the other ones default back to the 3d maps

There is no 2D map for the Turnip Field. There are only 2D maps for the 10 original ATB firefights.
