New player here - just piddling around and learning the manual. Would appreciate help with one quick question - when ground units have their "support" in red - where do you get more support? Does bringing in another base unit do the trick? Also, what effect does "support" have on ground units, separate from supply effects? I can't find this in the manual - probably there and I just don't see it. Thanks in advance for all help.

Try using a HQ unit.

Also, don't worry too much about the support in the individual units -- that is, as shown in the unit detail screen.

Most units don't have sufficient organic support, and they will ALWAYS show in red. What is important is the total support vs. required support as shown in the Base screen. As long as this isn't read, units with extra support (generally HQs and Base Forces) are providing support for the other units, and everything is good.

Support helps keep squads from Getting disabled, and getting repaired if they are disabled.
