New ATG v2.14 Public Beta Available

Hello All,

There is a new Beta in the Members Club replacing v2.13. It has a number of improvements and fixes with the new Leader and Card features.
Please check it over, and give us your feedback on it.

V2.14 beta – February 7, 2013
    Changes:[/b] [ul]
  • You can now also create a new HQ without a leader
  • Now max staff support of commander is shown in transfer window so you can fine-tune your transfer of staff to HQs
  • Added "Operational Planning" card that gives all units attached to HQs attached to the HQ playing the card a bonus of 0-20% off/def based on level of the officer.
  • Added "Organise Wargames" card that gives all leaders attached to HQs attached to the HQ playing the card an experience point boost of 20-100 experience points based on the level of the leader in question.
  • Added "Recon Operations" card that gives all units attached to HQs attached to the HQ playing the card a multiplication of their recon points at their present location.
  • Editor request: New event picture is auto-loaded as systempgraphics/trans.bmp
  • Game now allows renaming of officers but this can still be disabled by setting rulevar 906
  • Officers show up in OOB window as well now
  • Officer pool now also accessible if selecting HQ without officer
  • Explained rebels and volunteers card a bit better in description on card
  • Fixed a minor bug with rebel card
  • Production lines cancelled message when playing officer card message fixed
  • No mention of staff points anymore in interface (only in editor) to improve clarity of rules.
  • Bug with recon and seeing contents of enemy HQ fixed

V2.13 – January 7, 2013
    Changes:[/b] [ul]
  • You can now also create a new HQ without a leader
  • Leaders have more staff points now
  • Bit slower leveling for leaders
  • You can change command of empty units without loss of leader cards now
  • You can now move a general (dismiss) to the officer pool without replacing him.
  • Mouse over on MXSTF shows a little bit more info now
  • Officer pool stats issue fixed
  • There is now some variety in initial stats of leaders
  • Lower base chance on death or wounded when playing cards and even lower chance when officer levels up
  • Added an editor tab that allows you to relatively easily create some leaders for any ATG rule-set scenario by replacing the master with the New Dawn master.
  • Already did one such small scenario conversion, you can find it in NEWDAWN/ directory.
Notes:
  • Still have to work on getting some cards and feats in there that are specifically useful in high command HQs. But for now you would be wise to put any officer with the training card in a high command position. High command officers is still something that has to be worked upon, suggestions are welcome.
  • Leaders are still in beta phase, more feedback is definitely welcome.

Thanks for getting this beta patch out so quickly and thanks to Matrix Games and VR Designs for the continued support of what I believe has become a classic operational warfare game.

I've updated my NATO Counters Mod to support this patch.

I am noticing a much smaller range for supply via sea lift. Did this get changed?

wonder if the mouse zoom or a button to slide the UI out of the way like the DC series is still in the plans.

I've not had any issues with ATG and Windows 8 Professional other than an occasional hang when loading the game where only a portion of the game screen is shown. I simply Ctrl+Atl+Delete on those rare occasions that it happens and end task. It then launches ok on the second try.
