Ok - I'm green.

I'm trying to load transport TF's at Brisbane. I select two or three transports to be in a TF, add some escorts, and then tell it to load a unit that the TF has more than enough capacity to carry. The first ship starts loading a part of the unit - the others still say they have zippidie doo dah.

Can some VERY kind soul please explain to me how to use the interface correctly?

Thanks for your patience with the new guy...

If troops are assigned to a transport ship that has enough capacity to load the entire ground unit the other transports will be ignored. If you want to load into as many ships as possible then choose the lowest capacity transports you can. For example only the 3000 AP will be used in a TF with a 3000 AP and 2 1500 APs for a ground unit with a load cost of 3000. But if you remove the 3000 AP from the TF then the ground unit will load into both 1500 APs.

As many as possible

transports that can carry 3000 are great for invasions or supplies, but otherwise I like to use the smallest capacity transports for troop movements - simply because if a sub sinks a transport I don't loose the whole unit (nearly happened when I moved SWPAC up to Cooktown. An i-boat, 2 torps - the AP 3000 just made it to port. Mac saved.

Thanks, gentlemen!
