Arjuna asked Eric to post this fix 7 days ago on the members page. Does anyone have a guess if it will happen before the week end or not?

Well, in the meantime, there have been a lot of other reported issues and Arjuna seems to be making further changes and progress. Any chance it is being held off until the additional issues are addressed?

Not sure if Dave has asked them to hold it up. He hasn't said so. I asked the question of Erik a few days ago - when will we get it? - but there's been no reply from Matrix. There aren't many of them, I guess.....

I'm not holding it up. I am working though on overhauling the arrowhead formation code and have made mods to the Line formation code. I have also done some tweaks to APer Fire. I hope to finish these off next week and reloease aq final patch thereafter.

Did you get to look at the bypass issue I sent you saves for, Dave? You're not looking at that? Was it all ok, then?

I hope you mean a final BETA patch and not already a final patch, I don't think the testing has gone far and long enough.

AT some point he will have to sign off on BFTB and concentrate on the EF game. If it means one more Beta then the final patch great. If that means work can really start on EF I'm more than happy. I think once the bugs are ironed out BFTB should be left as is, get the COTA expansion out then really get working on the EF game.

You would be more than happy because you're really into the eastern theatre, Wodin! But many others aren't. Me, for example. Can't disagree with 'once the bugs are ironed out BFTB should be left as it is' though. Exactly, iron out the bugs then move on.

Phoenix, well some West front games\expansions are due aswell..Knock on all Doors and then one I'm interested in legends of the Blitzkrieg. Lets remember we've had Red devils\HTTR and now Bulge all set in the West so I think the East is now due.With knock on all doors and I think a West wall expansion aswell surely the West front lovers have been well catered for. I've been waiting for the East for years now, well since HTTR so I don't think I'm being to bolshy by asking BFTB to be signed off once the latest bugs are sorted, get the expansions out aswell so I can eventually get to the East quicker.

Tone? That's absent from posts, along with all non-script indicators of meaning, as you yourself pointed out very recently. And i agree, that's the best way to think of it, I think - take everything literally. Don't read anything into it - especially not a tone. There was certainly none meant.

But - I was joking about your well-known penchant for EF games. I don't think you even play BFTB right now, right? Didn't you say that? (Or was it just that you hadn't actually loaded the beta patch 4, I don't recall) (Because you're waiting for the EF game). So I'm laughing (with you, I trust, not at you) when I see you post that we should move on from BFTB.

But I'm dying to play it without these issues, in the theatres we already have, which I haven't even begun to properly explore, because of the issues. And I really would love Panther (as they are, I think) to focus on those until 'completion.' I'm sure they wouldn't dream of doing anything else, especially since it's the same engine for the EF game.

My sence is that this game is a part time hobby thing for Dave and not his main livelyhood. I think he just gets to it as he can.

GBS Military contracts are where his bread and butter is at..these give him the chance to make Command Ops..no way could he make a living from CO alone.

The patch will come soon..I try not to think about it. Though CO isn't my main game time really so it's not as frustrating for me..maybe if it was the EF game I'd be also getting agitated. I really don't understand why it takes so long to do an installer and upload it..surely it wouldn't take more than an hour or two? or am I being ignorant?

It's not Dave who is holding it up. Dave already sent it to matrix 13 days ago. Matrix haven't replied to any questions about it, or put it up.

I know it isn't Dave..but Matrix make the installer or is it compile it..I'm just surprised a patch is sent to them and it takes so long to get it online..a job that surely can't take more than a hour or two of someones time.

They mustn't read this forum. I assume, since I guess they would have replied to my question a few days ago about how long it might take to get it up.

Well, after reading the message announcing beta patch 4.4.256, I considered it would be only a few days until we can try the next version. Now, nearly two weeks have passed.
I wonder what is the problem ?
