Been looking for 4x space game and the active forum and matrix games support impressed me. I'm in. Brace for impact I may have a few questions ;-)

Have I been doing it wrong? I try to keep my advices constructive and informative.

I'll try not to that that happen again, it's a bad habit, I know, but I just can't get rid of it.

The option to poke around while the game plays itself is a good one. Whether one learns a lot that way is a different matter, but it can be good fun.

Sounds like you've got the right idea. The best way to learn is to use the automation and turn off those functions that you feel ready to take on yourself.

It think that alarm should have a setting of its own in the options menu. Either an on/off check box or a way of selecting the sound or adjust the volume. The default is quite stressful, I found.

I think I replaced it with the silence file within a couple hours of owning the game. [:)]
