hi all.. my other craptop crashed over the weekend..
so a reload to a toshiba with windows 8..
I also have a 20" HP monitor...
question...
game is pretty slow.. ships just flat out disappear and I have to click multiple times
not sure if its windows 8 or my dang monitor...
any thoughts ?

You may need to set some of the command options - see the latest whatnew file in the game directory.
I have the following for windows 7.
Properties of game shortcut:
"C:\Matrix Games\War in the Pacific Admiral's Edition\Beta2\War in the Pacific Admiral Edition.exe" -cpu2 -multiaudio -dd_sw -SingleCpuStart -archive

I run the game on Win8 and no issue so far, therefore is not the O.S. I guess.

1) where do I get the beta release from ??
like where are the links to download ?
2) when I download it do I just put it in my game folder and extract ?
sorry I know they are not new questions.. but.. really wanna start to play via

Not necessary, after unzip the file just launch the .exe file and follow the istructions.
It automatically creates a folder named Beta2 and a desktop shortcut, in this way you can run both vanilla and beta games.
