If I am playing MP and I place a mine, will my opponent be able to see that mine from their view? You can with barbed wire, but I wasn't sure about mines.

I think if they are placed in the initial setup they remain hidden until moved upon.
But I think when placing them using a card your opponent will be made aware vaguely of their placement.
I notice when playing vs AI, if it places mines mid game, I'm informed on screen of the general area.
Maybe test with MP opponent and find out if he notices anything.
I think some hidden things in the game are given up too easily.

Mines should generally be invisible to your opponents.
