Dialog windows too small or unable to be found

Some dialog windows are small so that when setting speed or depth only some options are in the box. The main problem is when attempting to set a destination for an airpatrol the OK dialog box is nowhere to be found. This all worked originally in windows XP on an older computer but now I have windows 7. I have tried changing resolutions with some success but still the game is unplayable if I cannot change courses or set patrols due to the missing (hidden?) dialog box.
