Hi Folks,

Well finally got around to installing and getting ready to play after doing the updates but I have a weird problem with the game. Firstly it seems really sluggish switching from one menu to another and all the text on menus i.e. scenarios for example are highlighting with a black background with white text and some items don't show up at all graphically.

PC is very high spec so I don't see that as being an issue. Is this DOS related as this game is quite old despite all the love and attention it has received?

Any suggestions welcome as this will ruin the experience for me if I can't fix it.

Have you tried using the -dd_sw switch?

No I haven't. Are you referring to properties/target file and adding this command at the end?

There are loads of switches you can use!

Here is mine for example: "F:\War in the Pacific\War in the Pacific Admiral Edition.exe" --fd -px1680 -py1050 -altFont -deepColor -skipVideo -dd_sw -cpu4 -archive

Edit:

You can find all switches in the "WhatsNew.pdf" located in the game folder.

OK JocMeister, that worked for me. Many thanks, can now take a punt at Coral Sea but damn if there are so many things to read up on lol. This is going to take months of learning but looking forward to it.
