Well you'd think all those who constantly complain on here no one does some less known wars should buy into GTOS..if this doesn't happen I'll take no notice if their complaints again.

Link to screenshots of Operation Hooper-Angola and also screenshots from another DLC to be released afterwards, still no word of actual location of the battle for other DLC,but plenty of screenies of the map here.
Andrey stated that this will be the largest map yet,at 160 square kilometers.I'm guessing that this is Afghanistan.

Andrey confirmed next DLC after Angola will indeed be Afghanistan 1979.Still He's being tight lipped about the actual content for the game except to say that the map depicts an area of Herat province.
I mentioned Afghan Civil War and He said yes except for hardly any Afghans.[&:]
Not sure what that means, maybe the Russians think the Afghans loved them and the only people shooting at them were foreign mercenaries.
Regardless,if it has modern Soviets I'm interested.Graviteam can think whatever they like about who the enemy actually was.If they think it was American led and trained Muslim Jihadist mercenaries that's fine with me,probably cooler than what they were actually up against and are afraid to admit."Afghan Peasents who hate invaders".

I got a couple days to mess around in the pre release version (HOOPER). In fact it was suppose be 1 day but changed plans to allow an extra day. So far this is a good DLC IMO. I find it a nice change of pace from eastern front for what that is worth.
