How to change the top entry in a unit TOE

I would like to edit this unit TOE so that the PzKpfw IIIH entry is not at the top, but still leaving 90 panzers at start. (This way the unit will be able to reconstitute once the IIIHs won't be available anymore). Any good idea on how to do that with *just* the internal editor of TOAW 3.4? Maybe exporting the unit TOE as an xml file, edit it and then read it back in?
Yes I can do that with the 'TOAW III editor' program, but when I first load the scenario the editor complains of an 'Unhandled exception' saying that 'Value of 0 is not valid'. I realized that it wants me to save the scenario first, then reload it..and then it works...well maybe. I'd rather not double check that something did not get messed up in the process..

elaborate what you mean with '...his way the unit will be able to reconstitute once the IIIHs won't be available anymore'? What do you want to achieve? The actual position of the equipment doesn't really have any affect.

Oberst!
I thought that a unit will reconstitute only if there are enough elements available to fill in the top entry in its TOE. Maybe I am mistaken? The Axis runs out of IIIHs pretty soon as they go obsolete, but the unit stays around the whole scenario. So IF my concerns are correct I'd rather have the infantry squads on top.

It is possible but as far as I know only one person knows how to do it. Go to the Gamesquad TOAW forum ask for Lou.
He once set a challenge for players and designers to work out how it was done (and supplied two test scenarios to illustrate the effect you are looking for) but nobody took up the challenge and he never (as far as I know) explained how he created those scenarios. This was a few years ago now but he was spotted quite recently over at Gamesquad so he is still about.
Would like to know the answer of how to do that myself.

Yes.
I confirm that it works.
- open the scenario
- edit forces
- export the OOB as an xml with F4
- edit the OOB with an xml or text editor of your choice.
- compare the two files to make sure no extra space or characters had been inserted
- import the OOB back in with F5
- check the 'scenario properties' to make sure the scenario is still valid
- save the scenario
I am running an AI vs AI test to make things did not get screwed up in some subtle way. If you do not see further edits of this post it means that it worked.

Thanks for the information. If I remember correctly Lou said it could be done from within the game editor. But any way that works is ok by me.

No, you aren't. It's exactly how it works. By enough elements you should read 66%.
