I am running the latest beta (1123f) together with Andy Mac's Scenario and AI Update (Oct 16, 2012).

Does anybody know what files have the AI variations?
I want to play scenario 1 against AI with the latest data files but with the stock AI files.

I believe it is the aei files. Most of the stock scenarios have several of them.

Yep, there are files named aei001-01.dat to aei001-20.dat (and the same with 002, 003 and so on).
These are most likely the AI variations.
So aei001-01.dat is probably scen001, AI variation #01, aei001-02.dat is scen001, AI variation 02 and so on.
