I recently installed this game. Thing is, when I play about 10 battles, the next one crashes after loading. No specific error, just "Close Combat Executable Engine (or something like this) has stopped working", and I get a CTD. This happens even if I switch to a different file or start a new game.

Version 4.50.14
OS: Windows 7
Wacht am Rhein (not classic)
can be temporarily avoided by reinstalling, but it's a nuisance to keep repeating
usually started though desktop shortcut --> game menu

I started it again via Quick Start through the start menu. Same thing.

I think I worded the problem poorly. Let me try again. After I install the game, I can play about 10 battles. Then, no matter what I do, the next battle crashes.
I can choose the battle. The strategic map starts up fine. Then the battlegroup menu comes up. Then the little green bar with load status comes up. It reaches "Ready!" and then the game crashes.
