User Account Control

Is there any way around the User Account Control that pops up when you first click the icon on Windows? I tried setting the shortcut to run as administrator but that did nothing.

Easy way. Go to the control panel and click on the Action Center. In the upper left corner are other things you can do. One of them should "change User Account Control Settings". I strongly advise to turn the darn thing all the way off. This is assuming you have win7. I have no idea how its done in win8 but would think it would be close to the same.
