I've created a Lightening War challenge. I tried to set it up so I get the Allies. If you want to accept the challenge, go for it.

Do your opponents email you directly to answer your challenge?

No, using the multiplayer feature of the game, you accept a challenge on the multiplayer game panel.

You can also setup your challenges there. Try it out.

I am going to check it out. So, I played by mail back in the day (AH games), but this is my first attempt at PBEM. I have an older computer with Win XP on it. If we start a challenge. will it be possible to change to a different computer, say if I purchase a newer Win 8 model? Are you willing to school someone who may not be as competent as your usual opponents?

I went to multiplayer. I created an PBEM account on slitherine. I looked for any challenges, including yours for lightning war, but found nothing. It was listed as being online. Did I miss something in the way to accept a challenge?

Someone already accepted my challenge. You can create challenges and wait for a response.

Dumb question...guess I really am a newbie! Do I have to 'accept' my own challenge to play against an opponent? And how do I know if challenge has been accepted?
