Some interesting articles which some of you might have missed

I found that there's still a site for RDOA/HTTR/COTA hosted at the wargamer.com, and it contains a few articles newer players might find interesting:

[*] Creative Artificial Intelligence, by Dave O'Connor given at the Canberra AIE (ZIP file containing one hour PPS with sound, 22MBytes).

[*] What makes HTTR truly special by MarkShot.

[*] A preview of Conquest of the Aegean scenarios (best viewed with Internet Explorer which I think means that it uses heavily iframe's [:)]).

[*] Comparison with traditional operational wargames

[*] Tactical Hints by Yakstock

[*] Bil Hardenberger’s Operational Combat Principles : 14 Rules for Successful Airborne Assault Play (what this fine man says in this article not only applies to Command Ops, but to any really good model of operational warfare).

Even if the design of the web pages is a bit long in the tooth, the content is still fresh and I think some of you will find it interesting.

Thanks BG. Going through them. Last two (Bil and Gary's) are spot on, and should be of great assistance.

I need to check with them if they're up to revise them and repost them here. Otherwise, I'll ask them for permission to edit them to bring them up to date and repost them here.
