Beating the tar out of history here :)

Hmmm I have not been posting AARs much.
I have a long campaign going currently (and if it goes till wars end I have no idea how many battles will have been fought).
I have a german force underway. I have been upgrading casually. My core force is a healthy batch of standard german leg infantry.
They don't do much fighting though, never anything much to fight.
I have a strong batch of early mark Tigers, and a equal sum of Panther Ds. Some Brummbars and and few Stug IVs a 4 88s with tracks and enough carriers for most of my men (who usually walk or ride tanks though).
I almost always take as support two picks of 150 arty batteries (nothing like major kabooms). Often I also grab a big dose of engineers, and about 6 more 88s. With big point totals I also grab a handful more infantry (but again, they usually just watch and take pictures eh).
If I attack I pound leading areas and then smoke the whole front line. On defense I tend to just pound every square inch of likely form up terrain.
They I begin the battle and watch as wave upon wave of enemy armour goes up in smoke to 88 fire and lately the same grade of round from numerous tanks.
On defense, it takes more effort to set up the game than it does to play it.
I had three battles where two went for just one turn and one that even went two turns. The AI just got clobbered and quit on me.
I have had a few annoying draws, but generally it has been all decisive wins. I have not known defeat yet this current game.
The issue of what tank is better than what tank is meaningless it seems. In my game, my tanks are always better (not sure how).
The only time I lose tanks, is to damned mines.
And I have learned, on the attack, let infantry walk to contact, if there are mines they all try to make a breech, first unit to do so wins and everything pours through hole.
The AI never seems to choose multi layered mine fields eh.
Thus far I have whooped the British at Alemein, trashed Stalingrad so bad it won't even be in the history books. I pounded the Americans most viciously at Salerno, and they have not even scratched me when I get careless. Right now Korsun is becoming just another Russian defeat (currently in progress).
What I want to know is...... is this typical? I don't recall the AI ever being this pathetic. I have such incredible firepower some games. How do I confirm I am not playing on some manner of school girl easy grade setting heheh.
Man one attack the americans made, I so badly outnumbered them, my tanks were way superior, they never had any chance at all.
I remember playing games, and having Polish armour attack in numbers that never even existed in past games. I have been wondering, why is the game not attacking me with at least numbers that at least look like the computer wants to win?
I could say "oh its just cause I am a bloody genius" but hmmmm nah I don't think that is true heheh.
So why is my long campaign getting to look like some form of wierd sadism perpetrated by me against the AI heheh.
