I am not familiar with what time Matrix releases stuff but I was wondering by what time tomorrow (I am in Western Australia and its now about 4am of the 20th here) Shadows would be released? I am also curious if the release date of the 21st of May is a confirmed one since I only read about the release from space sector and I never visited the forums in the past few weeks?

I think the last word was Wed or Thurs, as long as no major problems arise.

Yes, we're aiming for a release on Thursday, we should have the gold master into the store QA process tomorrow morning, so barring any problems we should be able to release early on Thursday.
Regards,
- Erik

Thursday so 23rd of May? What time zone does the matrix store follow for release?
Then I guess it is the same time as the release of fallen enchantress and its conveniently placed on a Thursday so that my classes for the week are finished and I only have work on Friday and Saturday then if so I guess I should cash in my annual leave then.

We're in US Eastern time, I'd guess the release will be before noon in that time zone.

Erik, is there any chance we could get any details before then on the sale that's going to be happening with the release of Shadows? Would love to be able to make sure my wallet(and body) is ready

Can't share the promotion details yet, but I think just about everyone will be happy with it.[8D]

Appreciate the reply. I don't have any of the games yet so that sounds particularly nice from my perspective

If only it I live in the US I would not think twice of repurchasing all games in physical copy and I will hug and kiss my physical copy of the game every night before going to bed because its just that great!!
Looking forward to the promo and hopefully there will be more people playing this game

This game deserves some major love.
I hope for a decently priced, solid DW2 that will be a huge success. Just as good, a bit shinier in the GUI, and priced like other new games.

As the first game has a lot of content added with expansions, we wont see a first release DW2 that is as massive as DW+expansions are (or are going to be). It will be bigger in scope than DW but there will be a lot of features that don't make it. Maybe similar to DW+Shakturi in features for the same price as DW.

You know that waiting is good for you. Personally, I would not like to see the release rushed and still think that Christmas would be the perfect time. It's not too late for Erik to reflect on the wisdom of delaying the release a little bit. After all, a few months - it's not unreasonable.
Best wishes,
Steve

When are we going to hear something about a potential launch special price? A little free marketing never hurt anyone...

According to a post in this thread, release is expected Thursday, before noon US Eastern time.
There is no reason to believe it will be delayed a lot beyond that, or they are very poor at estimating releases a few days into the future
