Just wondering from where comes the +20k income bonus which always happen some years after game start.



The screen above is very early after a game start. I have only built a spaceport, and I start exploring my system. I have followed each freighter to see if maybe one of them was carrying something of value, but no. So I wonder : "where does that nice income bonus come from?"

You get some bonus income from building your starbase, first ship and first mine as I've understood it. I usually live on the bonus income for the first years, as pirates takes all my regular money[:'(]

Star ports will always generate bonus income from incoming trading ships (Freighters) as well.

Aaah yes! Ok, it is related to popup message when you first built something, I see. Nice!

It is when the private sector buys from you, i.e. uses your spaceport to build a freighter. So, if your private sector is growing you will see much more bonus income. You can usually see a leap in your bonus income when you colonize a new planet or build a new spaceport or get a trade deal because your private sector buys more ships then. [:)]

I believe Resort Base income is Bonus income as well since it tends to come in sporadically.
