Does anyone know if Hvy Pz Regt Bake is in the German Order of Battle? I truly hope so, since it was the spearhead of the reflief operation. The Regt's commander was Lt Col Dr Franz Bake, whom was a highly decorate officer and from the sources that I have read was awarded the Tank Destruction Badge at Kursk three times for single handed destruction of an enemy armoured fighting vehicle with a hand held weapon. His command consisted of one battallion of Panthers, one battalion of Tigers, one battalion of Pioneers, and a battalion of self-propelled artillery. I'm very curious to see how this unit, if included, is modeled within the game.

I'm sure it will be an elite unit, much like Kampfgruppe Peiper in TAO2.

It will be in the game. I'm sure I saw a screenshot somewhere about OOB, and this regiment was there.

If I know correctly, it consisted I./24. Panzer-Abteilung (Panther) and schwere Panzer-Abteilung 503 (equipped with Tiger Is).

Believe me these two panzer units really make a difference as well. Where other falter, Baeke succeeds.

Vampire gets the cupie doll, well done! :-)

And so you could ask what do tankers and dentists have in common - they both like inflicting pain on other people....

;)
