An IJ player asked me to send him a PBEM file I had from a game I had been playing months ago, an 'orphaned' game.

I opened the file I had, issued orders, and Ended Turn. I sent the 022.pws file to the new IJ player.

He sent me the 001.pws file back, but when I attempt to load the file, the message "Saved game failed to load" is displayed.

Am I missing something?

Both sides the latest 'stock', I believe (21 Jan 2012).

Yes Hexhead, that's the latest version. Are either of you using the beta? If one player is using it and one isn't, you'll get that error message.

Version info is right off my screen for the 'main' (nonBeta) launch. It is the 'default' install path. I do have a copy of each, stock & Beta, I can try that for grins.

Ah, yep. I got the date wrong but we're definitely running the same version.

No soap. I can ask Lokasenna for a re-gen, that's all I can think of.

Settings affect this? Hmmm...I've had Do Not Display Animations ON...
