But I made all alerts silent for my own convenience. After playing a while, it's a bliss for me with all alerts silent. There are four sound files here, copy them to your DistantWorlds\Sound\Effects folder. I use visual indications instead, and check the log/alerts manually.

Credit for the silent sounds goes to Xamuel, which I then converted to WAV using foobar2000. I used appropriate length ones, don't think it matters though.

For Distant Worlds Universe, just copy the files to
\Distant Worlds Universe\Customization\[Your Compilation mod folder]\Sounds\Effects

I made a very small change to two messages. Yeah, it's simple but what I want. Also, it's about max what my graphical editing skills allow me to do.

The files go to your DistantWorlds\images\ui\messages folder.

I had plans to extend my own null sound alarm mod, but this is just as good, plus the green image update takes it up one notch.
