1.9.0.5

- new game

- first "meet the pirates" scripted event - they threaten to attack unless I accept "truce" for -5.5k (not "protection")
- that -5.5 k tax amounts to about -66k per year in the empire summary screen.. -66k expenses
turns into 66k POSITIVE CASH FLOW .. Pirates are paying me 66k a year to keep the truce ..

-around 5 months later they decide to break the truce and attack me ... I go to diplomacy screen and accept "TRUCE" for -10.5k .. Now pirates are paying me 127k per year for the "TRUCE" .. (still year 2100 in game)

........ this obviously breaks the game ... Will try to reload the save .. If the situation maintains I will search for the way to upload it for tech support ...
EDIT : savegame uploaded "Pirates offer negative protection.dwg"

Played a game yesterday and bribed the pirates all the time without realizing this. When I got "strong" enough to take em on, I decided to cancel all the "pirate protections"... All of a sudden I was 200k in red. Ugh... new game without pirates now.[:'(]

Yeah I'm seeing negative protection numbers too. Sometimes when playing as I pirate I have the option to offer negative protection to empires or give them absurdly cheap prices like 6 credits per month.

Thanks for these reports. This is fixed in the 1.9.0.6 update, which should be available tomorrow.
