Looking for good book(s) for German OOBs

Can anyone recommend a good, accurate source for orders of battle for German Infantry Divisions through out WWII. Looking for an OOB which goes all the way down to squad composition. I've seen a few Order of Battle books out there for the Germans but I'm not sure how detailed they are when it comes to squad and platoon level.
Thanks for any recommendations.

This is what I use and it beats any book out there. Have to know a bit of German to get around.

George Nafziger has a nice set of books in a three volume set.

I was looking at Nafziger's stuff but couldn't make up my mind from the reviews if it's what I'm looking for or not. How detailed does it get into TO&Es from the largest to smallest formation size? Thanks.

its not at all user-friendly but this website has the full Nafriger archive as a series of PDFs.

you just need to fish around towards the bottom of the page and you'll start to find the WW2 stuff. I'm not sure if, somewhere, there is a properly curated version.

Nafziger donated his archive to the Combined Arms Research Library (CARL) about 1 1/2 years ago. Try the link below to see if that will get you to the page that has an index of all his material in a PDF file. Download the file. Then, when you go into the file and select an entry, it will automatically open up a link to that particular item. I have used Nafziger material for the same thing you are looking for (German OOBs down to platoon/squad level).

This other site also provides extensive detail at the battalion/company/platoon/squad level for German and other nationalities:

Hope this helps

The Nafziger books (which I have) are a very good starting point. If you have the time/patience, sifting through the free PDFs can get basically the same info, but like loki says it's not very user friendly.
The bayonetstrength site given by Bob is also another good one, as it gives a lot of info on tactical organization/realities, although it's generally limited to infantry type formations.
Another option is Leo Niehorster's work:
http://niehorster.orbat.com/
Samples of info online and some very good books. I have a couple of them. You do need to be familiar with historical German TOE symbols as Niehoster's info is based on original German TOEs, but there are graphs/charts available online if you look around a bit.
EDIT: Actually there's an index of the original German TOE symbols on Niehorster's site.
