I came across this game quite by accident the other day. I saw part of a let's play on it shortly thereafter.

Then I started looking for more information about the game, its release, and general what is going on information. I couldn't find anything. Even these forums, being the official forums I think, are really quiet with no "official" presence.

Does this game still exist at this point?

If so, what is going on? What is the ETA on release? Will it be released? I'm pretty sure I saw something written about the game being released last month (being June and this is being posted halfwayish through July.)

I loved Alpha Centauri and this is clearly a modern remake so I am interested.

They're working on it, though there's not much publicity going around. I can say that the beta has recently had a steady amount of updates.

Thanks for the response Pewpew. I believe it was your Let's Play that I watched which led me here.

So, if I understand correctly, the dev team doesn't believe in communication and the publisher doesn't believe in communication and the game might come out... one day. In the meantime it is being worked on. I guess that's a good thing.

I hope this game does okay but I suspect otherwise. The total lack of information about it and any kind of communication really scares me. I guess I'll check back in every few months and see if anything actually happens with this game.

You may be communicative in the beta forums but potential customers who are curious about this product don't have access to those so that communication is not seen.

Instead we have access to the public forums which are rarely used and updates don't happen.

That was the measure by which I was writing that the dev team doesn't believe in communication and that the publisher doesn't believe in communication.

Having questions from potential customers remain unanswered for weeks is a bad thing.

I don't fault the devs for that since I would assume that they are working on the project and are leaving the marketing of the game to the publishers but, unfortunately, it still doesn't change the reality that communication is extremely slow in coming and doesn't contain details.

Is the game still on track for a release this year? There was a similar question posed a week ago that remains unanswered.

They said on facebook the release date is planned for 11/14, so hopefully we hear more about it.

i doubt it will come out on the 14th, a. these forums are way too silent and b. no mention of pandora in the latest matrix newsletter. i just hope it's not vapourware and will come out eventually....
