Newly captured ships dont respond to orders

When i capture a pirate ship in over-planet skirmish, first thing it does is to go refuel on that planet. While not responding to orders. Then it gets blown up by pirates orbiting that planet. Very annoying.

Captured ships seem to be in automation mode at the moment of your taking them over. Did you disable automation for this ship?

Even if you do, I've also noticed that captured ships are DEAD SET on making their first mission a refuel if they have under 50% fuel, you can repeatedly order them elsewhere and they'll just override your order.

I haven't noticed this. I usually manually order them to refuel at the nearest (safe) gas mining station. Have you tried ordering them to refuel at a specific place instead of just "move to X,Y"?

My orders have almost always been "retire at nearest spaceport" or occasionally "move to spaceport x." In most cases I don't want a fleet I'm about to scrap gulping all my fuel, I can wait an extra few months for them to arrive. Once I think I did issue a specific refuel order to a very remote fleet though... I think it did obey, but it was quite awhile ago and I'm not sure. Either way, refueling is taking priority when it should not.
