When is there going to be a LET'S PLAY WITE? There's one series of videos on YOUTUBE for WITE, but nobody talks on it, so it's basically useless. All the other Matrix games are getting LET'S PLAY videos. Why not the most expensive (and best) game that Matrix sells?

We're a bunch of old farts stuck in the pre you tube age, evidently.

I like LPs myself and am a fan of Madjinn in particular (he's a Civ 5 guru) but maybe WITE just doesn't lend itself much to this sort of venue. The audience for it may not be high enough to warrant the effort. You'd get, what, a couple of thousand views, maybe?

Here's a crazy idea: start selling WITE on steam. It's very doubtful that such a niche and complicated game would garner huge sales, but...you never know. If you grabbed even a small fraction of the sorts of people playing EU or Civ or HOI then the numbers could be substantial.

Then, maybe, somebody might take the LP plunge.

If the numbers got big enough, I myself would be inclined to make not an LP, but a big rant on all the problems the current game has and what I'd like to see happen in WITE2. Making an LP of how to exploit the flaws of the current design would break my heart. No, I'd just as soon do a nice long crie de coeur, Totalbiscuit style.

I'd give $100 just to see/hear at 10 minute LP video on WITE. Anybody want $100? $200?

10 minutes wouldn't even scratch the surface. That might be enough to walk you through a tutorial scenario. Maybe.

It could take hours to do a proper vid on the first turn of a campaign game.

We don't want the forest. Just a tree. Teach a man one round, and he'll eventually play the whole game!

And that's the right word, "walkthrough." Just some kind of simple, beginning "WALKTHROUGH." Have a paypal account? I'd pay $100-200 for that. Since I have the game and it will boost the enjoyment of it.

The tutorial with the game isn't really any kind of "walkthrough." Nowhere is there that.

Okay, maybe that "Road to Leningrad" AAR is sort of a walkthrough.

Yeah, it a great arcade game. One of the best made. Who needs realism, right?

Not the most expensive game anymore.
Here in Germany you can buy it at normal electronic markets at the moment in every city for round about 5,- Euro in the normal boxed German version.

But a Let's Play would be nice

Thats only because dtp Entertainment had to declare bankruptcy. They failed a save-plan and i guess they will be terminated soon. Quite some Matrix/Slitherine games were sold out when they tried recapitalisation.

Answer to that is when I learn how to do the youtube thingie... which is in line after learning how to stop my phone playing some Justin Bieber thing (my nephew programmed that as a joke, but I refuse to beg him to remove, even if it's embarassing)... which is in line after learning how to stop the DVR thingie from recording 250 episodes of Law and Order that my Mom programmed.. and it goes like that.

Plus, I don't think many people in Youtube get very excited on watching 5000 squares with symbols they don't understand move around in the screen, and then suddenly hearing a grown up man shouts "Ya, sucker, I bumped your LSSAH HQ out of AGS all the way to Finland with my 499th - take that!"... that's kinda an acquired taste.

I bought some copys at work (we ordered directly from dtp) and started to hand them out for free to some friends, trying to get them hooked up.

Sadly, my genius plan failed. They looked at it and told me its nowhere close to Panzer General...[;)]
