Hit Removal

When a unit takes a hit can it recover the lost hit? For example: if I have an infantry unit that has taken 2 hits and I move it off the front and place it in defend will the unit recover over time or are all hits permanent?
Units can recover from disruption but I don't think they can from hits. I was hoping to create some longer scenarios but if a unit cannot recover then there is really no point. I would need units to be able to regain strength in order to create something longer.

No it cannot.
I have suggested replacements based upon some criteria.

Of course if you have 9 x 1 hit units they can all be stacked together as stacking is based on the number of hits.

Thanks for the reply. I realize this game is designed to be 2-3 day short battles where replacements would not be an issue. I was hoping I could do something much longer. I like the system and would like use it for bigger longer campaign type scenarios. Without hit recovery it makes it very hard to design anything like that when units will not recover or reconstitute.
Oh well. It's still a very good game. Maybe they can open up for some deeper editing.

When you create a scenario you can have troops arrive at a specific date and time.
If you add 1 hit units then by default it is the same as adding replacements.
