Am down to just getting the American conversion opportunities done for RA 6.0 and need help with doing this. In prior versions of RA I had done this but it has been 15-18 months since then. Could someone walk me through the steps to do this correctly? Greatly appreciate it!

Examples:
1. CL Omaha to convert to CLAA
2. AKV Kittyhawk to CVE
3. AV Tangier to CVE
4. AO Neosho to CVE

I can't answer your question, but I would like the option of reversing the AO Nesho* -> CVE Sangamon* conversion. In late 1942 and most of 1943 the extra 6 CVEs could be useful, but by 1944 the AOs are a more valuable commodity.

THAT makes for the BIG CHOICE doesn't it??!! Do you use the option (knowing you can never go back) OR do you try to hang tough. I LOVE player choices!

I do not make the AO -> CVE conversion. I think it is a waste of resources.

First, need to get a bunch of bind numbers that aren’t being used. Very important you don't use a number that's already in use. Pick one.

Go to CL Omaha, actually, go to the specific one you want to convert (there’s 3). You might want to just convert just the 3d one, or the 2d and 3d, or just the 2d, whatever.

Put check into the “Convert From Class” box and put your bind number in the value box.

Go to CLAA Omaha, actually if you have more than one, go to the specific one you want to convert to.

Put check into the “Convert To Class” box and put the same bind number in the value box. Then put the delay (in days) into the “Conversion Delay” box. The ‘upgrade damage’ and ‘upgrade shipyard size’ works for conversions too, so if you want this conversion done in a shipyard (I would expect so) put the yard size in the data field.

Need to keep track of availability dates. If you have a 42/43 CL it should convert only to a 42/43 CLAA. If the CLAA upgrades to a 44/45 version, and you have a CL upgrade to a 44 CL, then have the 44 CL convert to the 44 CLAA. This will take a second bind class number, but all else is the same.
