SPOILER ALERT - Impressions after completing the campaign

I played through the Rommel in Normandy campaign on the highest difficulty and won every battle with only one needing a re-start to win. My impressions:
1. The larger maps are very nice and require more planning in order to deal with all possible AI plans.
2. The Allied AI seems very hesitant to advance. Several times it spent 1-2 turns shooting up possible German positions when what it really needed to do was push forwards.
3. I almost never needed to defend the rearmost objective flags - the enemy never penetrated that far.
4. The Germans have too many resources - I rarely felt pressure and was able to move armor around behind the front to meet each new threat. In the later stages in Normandy I should be forced to hold the line with a tank and a few MGs.
5. The final 'escape the pocket battle' was really easy - the threat from the flanks never really worried me and I had the required number of units off the map with 10 turns still remaining.
6. Overall, the victory objectives are a bit too easy, although I wouldn't want them to be impossible.
Finally, after winning every battle, usually with all secondary objectives complete, I still 'lost' the campaign. Maybe there should be two possible final screens - one where you lose historically and another where you are congratulated for kicking the Allies back into the sea?
