Hey everyone, I was just wondering if there was a way you could pick what type/race of troop to recruit in your planet. Example: I am the Humans, but I recently invaded a Dhayut planet. When the Human population exceeded the Dhayut population, I was no longer able to recruit Dhayut troops. Thanks in advance for any input! [:)]

I reckon it's not possible to choose. But... are troop strengths different for each race?
As I know, any group combat bonuses a race has apply globally not through individual units.

Thanks for replying [:)] .When you open the troop screen, it shows their strength, readiness, etc. If I remember correctly, the Dhayut is stronger by 50 I believe. It's not much, but its stronger than the Human troops. Please correct me if I am wrong though.

It's too bad that I cant choose. It fits in to my role playing style of playing.

Are you sure that Dhayut troops have 50+ BASE strength?
Maybe what you have seen was due to certain bonuses. Either by a Troop General or global bonus.
I'm by no means en expert, so maybe someone who is can say.

I'm not sure if this is current, but Aures posted a list of base racial troop strengths here.

Yeah, I might be wrong on it. I cant double check now because I am away from home. I am also not an expert yet with this game. [:D] It might be my general, but I only had one, and he had a lot of negative traits from what I can remember. Returning to the original topic though, I got to research the tech for Armored units, so when you recruit units, you can pick which one you want either armored or regular. I think maybe in another update, they could also allow you to pick what race troop you want? [:D] Thanks for the input.

Related topic, but I noticed that when I research the offensive/defensive +25% techs, they apply to newly recruited troops but don't seem to be applied to my existing (starting) troops in terms of increasing their overalls off/def strength. I also seem to have "experienced" troops with less strength than newly recruited troops even thought they are all at 100% and the same racial troops.
