please look at the picture. The 501 Para Base suddenly has 3t trucks and tanker trucks. I think they weren't there at start of the scenario, but I'm not sure. What happened here ?

I'm playing the latest beta patch, the scenario is "Screaming Eagles over Hell's Highway".

Corps HQ obviously decided you will need them.

That's very odd. If only we could get that to happen by choice - or even as a matter of course! You're right - according to scenmaker they're not there at the beginning. How did you get it to happen? Has a XXX Corps base been overrun and disbanded, merged with this one? It's not logical, as even though Daz says you will need them, you won't need tankers, of course!! Not unless your paras acquired some tanks in a merge...

The only unit lost until now is a AA platoon of the Irish Guards and that happened on the other side of the map. So its not because of disbanding and merging units.
The only thing that unit was witness of was a huge traffic jam as three brigades of the Guards Armd. Division left to Nijmegen.
Perhaps a very creative quartermaster saw it as a chance.

That is a bizarre one.

Didn't some of the American airborne troops go in by land during this operation?
