1.02 Upgrade

Post by Ronald Wendt »

Hello,

in this thread i want to show some more of the features of v1.02 .

Infantry now has a new button on the panel which is activated if the unit is running low on or completely out fuel.
Then you can leave the vehicles behind by pressing the button and continue attacks or retreats.

Another feature is the new modifier for tactical bombers: close air support.
With friendly ground units adjacent to a battle this modifier gives those units an attack bonus, making that combination very powerful.

There is a new key to toggle the visibility of units on the map. If you press 'F9' you can have a look without them to study the terrain and by pressing it again you get them back to take action.

In the preview we already saw the next feature. In a campaign you can define different armies that each can consist of a theoretical unlimited number of units.
With the unite armies screen you can transfer troops between those armies. To avoid confusion if too many of those armies interact, we added sashes to the unit icons in the HQ.

As wanted by many players deploy hexes now can be used only once. Undo for deploy is possible until the unit took action or the next was placed on the map.
Deploy hexes now also have a new appearance to differ them from supply hexes that can permanently used to deploy units:

The new version also allows more customisation of the display of hex colouring and hex borders. In the image below you see three different adjustments. The sliders can be set to any combination from none to full display of these markings.

Next we have some additional information. If a player adds a bonus "resources per turn" for a scenario it is now displayed at the beginning of a turn. In this case the player gets 0 resources from the map and +50 from the bonus he has set.
