I tried the game, I wish the tutorial was similar to the campaign south so you don't have to click back and forth between the game and the web

The real heart of ATG, at least for me, is the random game generator. You can play either with 1 town starts or with a nation and a standing army in place. I just love the infinite variety of maps that can be created. Each game is unique and fun.

If you want to sample a random game already in progress, try this: http://rtworks.org/GameStuff/EMS5a.at2. Just drop it in your savedgames folder. This is a game I'm currently playing vs 3 AI. You'll need Lancer's Enhanced Mod Suite installed for this to work as I used it to create this particular random game.
