What is definition of the 1/3 rule? I used to know. Also, is it possible to set the time of take off for a mission?
Is there a standard size for air groups? Do I get one group of 4 planes or two groups of 2 planes? I haven't seen how and where I can control this.
Sorry for all these questions as i am at work and just remembering from my play earlier today.

1/3 rule is that only 1/3 of aircraft assigned to a mission will launch at a given time. I believe that is 1/3 of the total number of remaining a/c (so if you start with 12, you'll launch 4 but if that number goes to 9 total you'll only launch 3). The other 2/3s are either rearming or RTB.

I'll often set up a Mission as being INACTIVE and then when I want to launch it I'll go back into the Mission Editor and ACTIVATE the Mission.

Hi guys,

I'm playing the air tutorial mission and would like to organize my flights/missions to achieve a specific 'time on target' so I can stagger the arrivals eg SEAD to go in 2 minutes before the strikers etc.

A quick search of this forum picked up this thread as the most relevant - but manually releasing each mission (as stated above) won't achieve what I want.

Any suggestions please?

BTW I'm now using bld 436, I was previously using 403 I think so it's great to see the main screen displaying correctly!

Cheers!

RBG

Ooops! Didn't realise I wasn't on the beta testing forum - please ignore above post as I can see there's already been discussion about this over there.

Sorry.
