Unlimited ammo allocation

Rag,
it appears that in manual weapon allocation dialogue I am able - so it seems - to allocate almost infinite (I stopped in the middle) amount of ammo towards one target.
Example:
in air operation tutorial I have a flight of 6 A-7E with AGM-45B, CBU-59/B APAM load.
I chose manual weapon allocation.
I select an attacking unit and a target.
I allocate cluster ammo by clicking on the black description, I can assign any number I want. Does it actually fire that amount? Have not tested, but I should not be able to allocate more weapons then there are on board. Even if these "weapons" are never used and its just a graphical/technical issue without any impact on gameplay - should not happen.
Allocating using the indented red line works when you start with the red line, if all allocated line just disappears.
Having used the black line of suitable weapon once to "over-allocate" I am from that point on also able to use the red line to select more weapons than present.
Hope I made my issue clear?
Thanks for looking into it,
Martin
