Play with no Terrain map

Might be heresy but is there an option somewhere to turn the terrain map off ?
I prefer the CIC look and would just want to see computer generated coastlines.
If not can I request a 'nice to have' feature to do this.

absulutly great would be Radar generated coastlines - and send them over link 16 over the fleet

Yes. I have to agree. You've got my vote.
Plus, that would spare us players with lower-spec systems a lot of the performance problems. A win-win situation.

Good idea, I wouldn't mind having the option. Some scenarios would benefit from it.

If you have seen a 50 inch ERAPDS* display in the bunker at an RAF Sector Operations Center in the mid 80's you would know what I mean.
