I have the downloaded verison. I also downloaded it to a thumbnail drive and installed it onto my laptop. It downloads but will not play, can access the manual and forum but not the game. Laptop has Windows 8. Do I have to download it directly,

What happens? Does it launch at all or give any errors? Short of other suggestions go to the prerequisites folder and install both the dotnet40 and directx software, then reboot.

Does nothing. It has the correct directx software and net. I did notice that there is that window shield attached to the icon and a uncompatable program entry

sorry I don't know, the devs are pretty active here and should be along shortly. Just by chance did you run it as administrator, not sure if Win 8 has that or not?

I followed your instructions. Found that somehow in Windows 8 there is a screen with program icons. I clicked it on and the game worked. Its not the everyday windows screen. I do not like windows 8 and thankfully my desktop is windows 7. Thanks guys for all your help
