I did a test with an F-22A vs a couple of modern Su-30MKI. With it's APG-77 LPI (low probability of intercept) radar active the F-22s had no problem detecting the Flankers while the Su-30s were not able to detect the Raptor at all at stand-off distances (>40nm) with either radar or RWR. An RWR contact was made somewhere around 40nm and radar contact was well under that as I recall.

Command needs to have more info available to players on these features so players can utilize them, and develop tactics against them, more effectively.

The advantage of the F-22A is LO, not LPI. Shoot before seen is the way it wants to work. If it gets into or close to a merge/furball - most of the advantages it has are lost.

LO is ONE advantage of F-22A. LPI on the APG-77 is certainly another, if you know how to use it.

Not against the target its not. Against systems relying on sidelobes as in surveillance type systems then I'll concede - but point that at the intended victim and place a semi decent RWR gear on said victim (I would say the Russians build some of the best) and LPI value of an AESA is irrelevant because you have to point the main lobe at the target to detect it.

Let me update my observation. The detect range is about 70nm for RWR for Su-30 & Su-35 (about half the range of the APG-77) in Command. Before this there's not a peep from the RHAWs.

low observability (LO) means hard to detect with active sensors
low probability of intercept (LPI) means active emissions hard to derect by passive sensort (ESM - electronic support meaaures)

So not much warning then of the AIM-120
