Can't get aircraft to egress from target on selected path

Command v1.00 Build 429

I have just bombed the palestinian base in Tunisia. From there I wanted to choose a path back to the air to air refueling point.

I chose to go back south of Malta. The game allowed me to assign a path but would not follow it. It wanted to go back to the air to air refueling point by going back north of Malta.

I checked for exclusions zones and no navigation zones which I could not find.

The planes might be on RTB. For the AI, that's a kind of mission logic, so they ignore any waypoints you have set. You can manually unassign them from that status by selecting a unit and pressing "u".

I think the disengage function (U) is a little iffy right now. I have found it difficult to get a fighter off a refuel mission, even when far from the tanker, or to break off when "Engaged Offensive". I'd love to see this investigated for a future update.

If the planes are assigned to a mission, make sure the RTB When Winchester option in the Doctrine / ROE / EMCON window is set to off.

If the planes are controlled manually, make sure that either the plane group ROE or side-wise ROE has the same flag set to off.
