Well, this is a good price, of course allways could be lower but is good enough in the balance [;)]

Expect can add soon more fertilizier to German farmland... and in a near future go to a more desertic land [:D]

Some stupid questions, is not an option to play in full screen??? i need hide the tools bar.

Unit inspector... you only can see the material in the scen... is not an option to see all material in game like in the old game??? i remember see screen shoots where you can select expand it to all material present in game.

Other thing, map scroll with mouse doesnt work? or is not the option to scroll with it and we only can use arrow keys??? thanks.

Hexagon,
I will check on the full screen.
Subunit Inspector only looks at what is in the scenario. I will add a global editor to the wish list.
Map scroll can be done by a left mouse click drag or with the mouse cursor hovering near the map edge.

Thanks.

Hi Hexagon,
ORIGINAL: Hexagon
Some stupid questions, is not an option to play in full screen??? i need hide the tools bar.

Flashpoint Campaigns: Red Storm runs in a full screen window, the game is designed to work well with Windows and other applications. You can change your Windows settings to hide the Windows tool bar if you wish, but FPRS will not override it by default.
Unit inspector... you only can see the material in the scen... is not an option to see all material in game like in the old game??? i remember see screen shoots where you can select expand it to all material present in game.

First, you can get a very full view on the OOB/TO&E level within the editor. Within a given scenario, you can see the detailed information for the units in that scenario.
Other thing, map scroll with mouse doesnt work? or is not the option to scroll with it and we only can use arrow keys??? thanks.

Works fine here, can you provide more info in the Tech Support section if it's not working for you? Make sure you check your Scrolling and Sound settings in User Preferences, which allow a lot of customization for how map scrolling works.

Regards,

- Erik

Damnit. I'm going against my gut to purchase this. After FPG made my 'Top 5 Quickest Uninstalled Games' list I swore that anything I bought from Matrix had better be impressive looking. This release has generated a bit of hype and I hope it's true.

MikeAP,
There is no harm in waiting a few days and reading the reviews and AARs to see if this is what you want.

We'll be here.

I would think you'll make a safe purchase this time. I too didn't do FPG very well. In fact, I made enough comments about it they wanted to know if I would be willing to fix what I thought were some of the issues. Long story short, you are about to see if we did the latest version of Flashpoint justice.

Obviously, I think we did. I don't get involved with projects I don't think are worthwhile. This project was not on my "To Do" list. I already had 2 other projects I was involved with. However, this one is special. At least I think it is.

Now, we get to see if you think it is as well. I'm looking forward to your views on the game when you get a chance to play it.

Good Hunting.

I'm also a late adopter most of the time... however I just purchased the game as the amount of fun the beta guys seem to be having is unreal and makes me jealous ;-)

I rarely, if ever, buy games when first released. I like to wait for the feedback and reviews -- and hopefully sales (but not for Matrix Games).

But I've already purchased this one.

We appreciate all the good faith shown by those of you that normally wait for the reviews and opinions of game play to come out before buying. Of course, we think you have made a good purchase, we look forward to your views on the game when you have had a chance to play it! [&o]

So far so good. Starting with NATO Campaign. It's a quick reminder about how much STUFF the Soviets have. My goodness, equipment everywhere.

My personal opinion is, you are making a mistake starting with the NATO campaign. [X(]

Are you playing with no fog of war?

However, that's my own personal favorite scenario so hard to tell someone not to play it!! [&o]

That's the largest scenario in the entire game. I would start with A Time To Dance first. To get your feet wet. [:)]

Good Hunting.

Some of the stand-alone scenarios may be easier to start with than the full campaigns, but by all means if you are excited go ahead and jump in. :-)

I had a lot of fun this last weekend with The Pied Piper , A Time to Dance and 11 Bravo scenarios during final validation.

Maybe a mistake, maybe not...Maybe blowing the central bridge in Stein was a mistake. Maybe assuming risk on my south flank with limited cover was a mistake as well.

We'll find out in the next turn.

Playing with fog of war on. Being able to see all of the AI moves would be cheating

ROFL...ah yes... all those choices! And even more before that battle is over.

That's the way I play as well. I was just wondering when you made the comment of, "how much STUFF the Soviets have. My goodness, equipment everywhere." [X(] [X(]

We'll see what you think when the battle is over.

It appears that a second wave has just arrived through the Soviet breach just East of Stein. Possibly their Assault force? Something bothers me when I see a stack with '20' coming at me.

The good news is that they're hitting some of the uncleared mines.

ROFL!!! You went Hunting Bears didn't you? [&:]

Seems you found them! [:D]

Actually, I have the opposite feeling when I see those stacks. We'll start a tactics thread and discuss what some of this all means.

Good Hunting.
